Active environmental management is a prerequisite for successful business and the future of our company. Our aim is not only to preserve the current environmental standard, but to enhance it in line with the ongoing changing market conditions.

The following guidelines are compulsory for all our employees:

• Aligning our environmental initiatives primarily to avoid ecological damage and, if not possible in certain areas, to reduce it. This is based on the respective state of the art, however it should be evaluated if a higher standard can be achieved by suitable measures.
  
  
• New fields of activity, machines, methods, products and materials will be examined with respect to all ecological and safety aspects and any possibilities to reduce ecological harm and to save resources.
  
  
• The responsibility of our employees for quality, environment and safety is permanently broadened by specific information and training. Quality and environmental management are not least essential parts of our corporate training and development initiatives.
  
  
• Repercussions of our company on the environment are regularly registered, evaluated and monitored by effective control measures.
  
  
• Berg communicates openly with the public and authorities.
